The Squadron holds three recruitment evenings a year, these are normally January, June and September. To find out exactly when we have a recruiting now at the bottom of each page. Alternatively contact us using the messaging service on our website, the contact us page or on social media.
We are always looking for new members of the team, if you are over the age of 20, self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic. Then we are looking for you. You will need to be able to work on tasks individually and as a member of the staff team, delivering to deadlines and most of all enjoy working with variety of young adults. As an adult member of staff you can volunteer as much time as you can and want to get involved, this may be the 2 nights a week to weekend events and the odd extra night. It's all about how much you can and want to get involved. Its hard work but the reward is great. See the youth of today succeed and grow as a direct input put and guidance from you.
Still interested? Below are the areas we are looking for civilian volunteers. we have squadron staff and civilian committee places available. Both are challenging roles but are well worth the effort when you see what the cadets get up to and achieve.
All Staff will be required to complete an interview with the officer commanding and wing staff officer, nothing to worry about, it's for us to get to know you and see how we can help you join the organisation. You will also need to complete a DBS check to be cleared to work with young people, this is at no cost to you. If you are interested in any of the roles below, please email the Officer Commanding, Flt Lt Geoff Elliott oc.1461@rafac.mod.gov.uk.
We are currently recruiting for volunteers who think they join the staff team and add experience and benefit the team.
To function and manage fundraising and finances, the squadron had a voluntary civilian committee. They meet once a month at the squadron and discuss many things ranging from what the cadets want to do, fundraising, PR, and help manage the Squadron welfare fund. The Squadron is responsible for the welfare of for cadets and many more topics to help the squadron grow and be ensure equipment can be purchased via fundraising to enhance the cadet experience. All Committe members need to be DBS checked and complete security clearance.
General Committee Members:- Do you have some spare time but not looking to commit to joining the staff team. well just be a committee member, your input will be gratefully received. We are always looking for members to assist with fundraising for the squadron. Why not give it a try...
